Hi, I'm Kathryn, but my friends call me Katie!

I have been horse obsessed since I could walk. All I wanted was to ride and be surrounded by horses. I grew up playing with my Breyers and rearranging the wooden barn and fences to have the "best farm," and in between all of that I ended up getting my own pony. The love for her allowed me to acquire two more. I mean come on horses are like potato chips you can't have just one. I love them all dearly as if they were my kids. Most of them are retired now living out their best lives on the side of Crest Rd where the road is simply dirt.

I am a small town girl through and through, I love being able to go somewhere and run into someone I know. This is one of the many reasons I love photography. I enjoy meeting, capturing and more importantly becoming friends with you! There isn't anything more rewarding than running into you and asking how you and your fur baby are.

I am sure you are wondering with all the horse talk where the agricultural side comes in. When I picked my camera back up in 2015 I began by photographing a local herd of cattle. I became obsessed with capturing their personalities. From there it flourished into a love of capturing the people, the animals and the equipment that help drive agriculture. In 2020 I married into a farm family that is heavily involved in the local 4-H and raising their own array of livestock from pigs to finishing cattle. They helped open my eyes to all the incredible unseen moments that agriculture allows.

Since 2018 I have produced four calendars that represent the local agriculture in southern PA and northern MD. My goal will always be to capture and present my love for animals and the land for everyone to see, even if that means walking through cow poo or chasing a farmer planting this year's crop. From spring to fall you'll find me romping around in my muck boots.
