The State Fair Midway sessions are—by far—my favorite part of the fair. And they seem to be just as highly anticipated by the kiddos, too!


Every year, I love capturing photos of these kids on the midway having fun, laughing, and enjoying getting their pictures taken without any pressure. It's so refreshing! This year, I got to see some familiar faces and their new projects. It's amazing to see how they've grown and changed since last year, and I continue to be in awe of the work these kids put into making sure their animals (and themselves) are the best versions they can possibly be.


Of course, seeing new faces on the midway is just as rewarding! It was such a treat to meet and work with each new kiddo. I love hearing how their show is going and how much fun they're having.


Something new in 2025, we welcomed the showmanship winners back to the midway for evening shots. The showmen were escorted by friends and family to show off their banners in front of the camera. It was all smiles from everyone!


It's actually impossible for me to pick a favorite photo because every single one of the kids rocks the midway. Luckily, I don’t have to. Instead, I’ll just be over here, excitedly waiting to see what 2026 midways brings! And until then, enjoy some of the magic we created in 2025.
