Sometimes you have to look back before you can spread your wings and move forward. For Mylie's final Senior Summary session, we visited her elementary school and high school to take her cap and gown photos. After graduation, she plans to attend Stevenson University and major in Nursing.
I always love to see the unique ways my seniors honor important people in their lives during our sessions. Mylie decided to include her grandparents' photographs on her tassel in her Part IV session, which was such a beautiful and personal way to include them in this important life milestone!
We had a great time visiting both schools, but my favorite part of this session was hearing how Mylie was able to relax and be herself in front of my camera. Mylie shared this sentiment with me after our final session:
"Before this, I never really liked getting my photos done because they always felt forced or they didn’t look natural. After my first session with Katie, I was blown away by how she captured my real posture and even my real laugh. Katie was able to capture my senior year over the fall, winter, spring, and right before graduation. Seeing how you can change over the seasons is crazy but awesome! Katie’s Senior Summary is one of the best things that has come my way, and she’s even made me like getting my picture taken."

Thank you for your kind words, Mylie! It was so fun to photograph you throughout your senior year. I know you're going to be an amazing nurse. Best of luck at Stevenson University!
